We recently renovated our Middle School wing by adding three new classrooms, a Music room, a teachers’ workroom, and storage closets. The project was started in the late summer, with classrooms fully functional in early September. SIZ completed all work for Aaron’s Rental Purchase to total satisfaction. Under time constraints to open, the team worked diligently to mect our deadline. This was rather impressive as Dade Counties inspection process is notorious. I would not hesitate to use SIZ in the future and would certainly highly recommend them.
We hired SIZ to reconstruct our parking lot and add an ADA access ramp, landscaping and drainage to our existing building at Local Union 725. SIZ took care of the entire project, including permitting and were able to complete the project on time at a good final cost.
Before the project started, our city sewer system kept backing up and flooding the existing street, as well as our Auditorium Building/Kitchen. Myron was diligent and preserved in staying in contact with the City of Opa Locka, regarding the faulty sewer system. He went over and above his project duties to complete this project. The result of this problem were roots in the sewer system and they needed to be cleaned out.
Myron was always extremely responsive to any of our inquires and/or requests and did an outstanding job of keeping us informed as he supervised all the different facets of the project.

I’m writing to recommend SIZ Construction Corp as the GO TO General Contractors in Dade County. We at FSMY Architects and Planners, are extremely happy with the final product SIZ Construction delivered. The ARPEC (Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, & Pipefitting Educational Center) board and FSMY decided to give them an opportunity as their prices were competitive, their schedule aggressive, and the client felt very comfortable with their expertise, especially in dealing with the complexities of a fully functional operating Union School in Opa Locka. They really proved themselves early on in dealing with the complex permitting process with the Municipal and County officials.
The project, at a cost of $1,700,000 involved building a 2 story all concrete Annex building with an overhead movable crane, an office expansion, complete renovation of the existing offices, new kitchen, and a complete major site reconstruction of the parking lot including new storm drainage system, a paving drainage system, asphalt and curbing, irrigation and finally new landscaping.
One of my Project Architects worked very closely with them as the project developed and we found the SIZ staff to be very responsive, acted in a timely manner at any and all of the client’s requests. Due to the size of the project and specific requirements needed to build systems that could manage heavy equipment for training purposes, the job required a lot of attention to detail and construction. We could tell that SIZ Construction has knowledge in the industry by the way they handled situations that arose during the construction process that took about 9 months to complete.
The final product was excellent and they ensured the client was 100% happy with it before completing the job, which is rare to find nowadays.
